At Comerica Park, 40-year-old Miguel Cabrera played 1B before his final emotional farewell in Sunday afternoon’s 5-2 win over the Guardians.

The end to a Hall of Fame received a sendoff from the Detroit Tigers after 21 seasons, one World Series ring, two MVP awards, and a Triple Crown.

Cabrera’s family attended from the pregame ceremonies to the end of the game, with some memorable moments in his final game.

For his first at-bat of the game, Cabrera had an exclusive introduction to the plate. As he walked up with the crowd cheering, Cabrera’s three kids Isabella, Christopher, and Brisel names were announced by the stadium speakers.

Cabrera seemingly had the full support of his family ahead of him playing his final MLB game of his legendary career on Sunday.

The end of his MLB game was seen with a giant Cabrera jersey outside of the stadium, and the outfield showcased a “24” in the middle to honor.

Especially in the pre-game festivities turned into family emotional moments for the 12-time All-Star.

Firstly, Cabrera’s parents Miguel Cabrera Sr. and Gregoria Torres could be seen coming onto the field ahead of the game to throw out the first pitches to their son

Afterwards in the first inning, Cabrera was caught approaching his first at-bat of the game, with his children as their names were announced from the booth.

Manager A.J. Hinch was also then joined by Cabrera’s children in going to get the 12-time All-Star out of the game, while Cabrera’s mom celebrated from the stands.
