Sauce Gardner Injury Update CB quetionable for Sunday game after illne

This Sunday’s game against the undefeated Eagles is looking even more challenging for the Jets. DJ Reed, the cornerback who missed last week’s game due to a concussion, was expected to return for Week 6, but unfortunately, he’ll be sitting out again. This leaves the Jets with a shortage of talent in a critical position.

To make matters worse, there’s another setback as Sauce Gardner has been added to the injury report, listed as questionable due to an unknown illness. This comes as a surprise and adds to the team’s woes.

The #Jets added CB Sauce Gardner to the injury report with an illness and hes now questionable for Sundays game vs. the #Eagles.

Without Gardner and Reed, the Jets have only two healthy cornerbacks left in Michael Carter and Bryce Hall. Hall has seen limited playtime this season, with Reed and Gardner being the primary choices. These injuries couldn’t have come at a worse time. The Jets are striving to stay competitive in the AFC, and their recent win against the Broncos was a step in the right direction.

However, they face an uphill battle as significant underdogs against the Eagles, and the lack of depth in the defensive backfield, especially against a team with the second-highest offensive yardage, may dash their hopes of pulling off an upset and reaching a .500 record for the year.

Being a Jets fan can be a tough journey. Just yesterday, there was a glimmer of hope when a video surfaced of Aaron Rodgers walking in the team’s locker room without crutches. This signified positive progress in his rehabilitation, and he’s determined to return this season. However, his return might be in vain if the Jets are already out of playoff contention when he’s fully recovered from his Achilles injury.
