“Extremely proud of you”; Brown, Cahill, Duffy, and others respond to Celtic legend Tom Rogic’s impactful statement.

Rogic spent nine years on our books, joining as an unknown boy and leaving as a genuine club icon. He lifted 16 honours at Celtic, and brought us some of the finest moments we’ll have as supporters.

He moved to West Brom in the summer of 2022 and has also played for the likes of Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory as well as earning 53 caps for Australia.

Rogic released a lengthy statement on Instagram on Tuesday outlining the very personal reasons for his retirement from the game. He spoke openly about he and his wife being on an “immensely challenging journey with fertility issues.”

They welcomed their daughter in 2021 and are expecting twins next year. Rogic says that now is the right time to focus on the most important thing in his life: his family.

As you may expect, the reaction has been pretty huge with so many former team-mates replying to the post with their best wishes. Here’s the best of what we’ve come across.
